Maryam is an associate with Hoffer Adler LLP and practices corporate/commercial law, with a particular emphasis in franchise law. Maryam joined the firm in the summer of 2019, prior to which she practiced as a litigator representing a range of clients including franchisors and franchisees. As a litigator, Maryam appeared in the Ontario Superior Court, Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal.
Maryam received an Honours B.A. in Commerce with a minor in Economics from McMaster University before receiving her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University.
While at Queen’s University, Maryam competed in multiple moot programs including the European Law Students’ Association Moot Court Competition (ELSA), where she participated both as an oralist – winning Best Respondent Written Submission, Best Complainant Written Submission, and Best Overall Written Submission – and later as a student coach. During her last year of law school, Maryam served as a clerk to the Family Court Justices at the Kingston Superior Court of Justice.
Maryam is fluent in English and Farsi.
